Back after winter break:

As the winter break comes to a close, I’m not just returning to my regular routine , I’m embracing a fresh start. The time off gave me the opportunity to rest, reflect, and reenergize, leaving me feeling ready to face the year ahead with a clear mind and a positive attitude. I’m excited for what’s to come and looking forward to making the most of each new opportunity.

Concept: "Lost in Memories" Storyline: The music video follows the story of a young woman who is struggling to cope with the loss of a loved one. As she navigates through a nostalgic and melancholic atmosphere, she finds herself lost in memories of the past. Visuals: 1. Opening shot: A close-up of the protagonist's face, with a faint smile and tears in her eyes. 2. Flashbacks: Interspersed throughout the video are flashbacks of happy moments with the loved one, showcasing their relationship and memories. 3. Present day: The protagonist is shown wandering through a deserted, nostalgic landscape (e.g., an old, abandoned house, a park, or a beach). 4. Idea Pitching:

Log Line: A young girl struggles to cope with the sudden loss of her loved one, overwhelmed by memories that haunt her in a series of poignant flashbacks, as she tries to navigate through the grief and find a way to heal. Synopsis: In this emotional music video, a young girl is seen in the aftermath of losing someone deeply important to her. As she roams through the quiet spaces of her home, the music flows in sync with her sorrow. Flashbacks flash across the screen, depicting moments of joy, love, and togetherness that now feel distant and painful. The visuals alternate between the present, where she is consumed by her grief, and the past, where she was with her loved one. As the song progresses, the weight of her sadness is shown through fragmented memories that slip away, leaving her to confront the painful reality of life without them. By the end of the video, she finds a bittersweet form of acceptance, symbolized by a small, meaningful gesture that connects her to the pas...

Navigating Solo:

Things have taken an unexpected yet thrilling turn. My amazing team member, Haajrah, has dropped media and passed the torch to me to create the music video solo.  The creative process will definitely be different this time around. Instead of the usual collaboration with Haajrah on concepts, filming, and editing, I’ll be taking full control of the direction, look, and feel of the video. I’m ready to explore new ideas and push the boundaries of my imagination to create something that truly resonates with the message of the song. I can already see the scenes playing out in my head, and I’m really looking forward to getting started. It's both an exciting and nerve-wracking experience, but I believe it’ll be an unforgettable journey that will help me grow as an artist. I’ll be sharing updates along the way, so stay tuned to see how this solo project unfolds!

Auditions:

i recently took an audition of Wadana Khan Marwat, a friend of mine, and it was a really fun experience. it gave me a chance to see how working with her would feel and what she could bring to the project.

Teamwork:

Teamwork is the backbone of creativity. When multiple minds come together, the results can be nothing short of extraordinary. As I embark on a new journey with my talented team member, Haajrah, to work on a music video, I'm reminded of just how crucial collaboration is in turning ideas into reality. In this blog post, I'll share why teamwork is essential in creative projects and give a sneak peek into the exciting music video project we’re about to bring to life.

Progression from As:

At the AS level, the emphasis was on learning the basics of media production and analysis. This included understanding media language such as camera angles, framing, shot composition, and sound along with the foundational theories surrounding representation, audience, and media industries. In terms of practical skills, AS was about getting comfortable with the equipment, learning to shoot basic footage, and experimenting with editing software. I started by learning how to shoot simple sequences, focusing on using a DSLR camera for the first time. This was a steep learning curve, as I had to familiarize myself with settings like aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to get the best quality footage. On the editing side, I initially used Adobe Premiere Pro, as it was what I had access to, and I focused on basic cuts, transitions, and simple color correction. By the time I reached A2, I had already gained a solid understanding of the key principles of media production. The shift, however, was ...
